The Duncan McClellan Gallery celebrates American Craft Week with a very special Art Walk and series of weekend events.
We are welcoming the Metropolitan Contemporary Glass Group from New York, and will have 12 noted glass artists visiting from around the country, including Jason Chakravarty, Stephen Rolfe Powell, Richard Royal, Peter Wright, Lisabeth Sterling, Tim Tate and Veruska Vagen. There will be ample time to meet these famous artists in person and talk to them about their work.
Saturday night, October 10, from 5-9:30, Korean born glass artist Hyunsung Cho will premiere the glass exhibition “On My Way Home”, with a body of new works, and he will demonstrate in the Hot Glass Workshop beginning around 6pm.
Sunday, October 11, from noon-1pm, Cho will demonstrate at the gallery again, with other artists assisting, and will lecture at the Museum of Fine Arts from 3-4pm.
Art walk attendance is free, as is the Sunday demonstration. The Museum lecture is free with Museum admission.
