Thomas Maras began blowing glass over 20 years ago as a student at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Characteristics of his work are clean form, line and color. His “Horizon” series is his iconic work and is often described as a lava lamp landscape, created by layering color and a stippling technique. The pieces have vivid color with significant movement.
Maras says of his work: “I shape glass, it shapes me”
Sculptor Todd Cameron blows glass and incorporates steel, iron, copper and bronze to create his unique mixed media pieces. Todd and his work can be found at the Minnesota Center for Glass Arts, where he was a founding board member and studio manager.
