Check out this video about the upcoming issue of American Craft Magazine. American Craft is a wish book that helps creative people to see the world with fresh eyes. Its memorable stories and images inspire readers to craft a conscientious, expressive life they feel good about. The magazine celebrates the age-old human impulse to make things by hand, in order to communicate, learn, heal, and connect. Our core audience values community, sustainability, quality and authenticity.
The American Craft Council (ACC) is a national, nonprofit educational organization founded in 1943 by Aileen Osborn Webb. With a mission to promote understanding and appreciation of contemporary American craft, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of the many gifted artists today who are working with a variety of materials.
Programs include the bimonthly magazine, American Craft, annual juried shows presenting artists and their work, the Aileen Osborn Webb Awards honoring those who enrich the craft field, as well as a specialized library, various workshops, seminars and conferences, and much more.
Members of the ACC include artists as well as institutions and individuals with an interest in the crafts, such as teachers, scholars, collectors, gallery owners, and professionals in many fields, in the U.S. and abroad. This diversity is well represented in the governance of our Board of Trustees.
We are excited for Erik & Martin Demaine to be a featured artists of the ACC and are honored to be hosting an event with such talented and creative individuals. It’s not everyday that a business can be proud of the clients and community that we support.
Eric & Martin Demaine’s story will have headlining their story in the August-September issue. We are thrilled to carry their work here at the Gallery and encourage others to support these talented artists by picking up a copy of the magazine (American Craft Magazine) when it’s published in the local Tampa Bay, Florida area.
