St. Petersburg Glass Weekend
March 12-15, 2015

Experience one of the country’s top arts destinations with an intimate insiders’ look at the vibrant glass art scene of St. Petersburg, Florida.

The weekend will include a series of exclusive lectures, glass blowing demonstrations by visiting guest artists, artists’ receptions and guided tours of public and private collections.

Participation is limited to 20 people. Registration costs include transportation to and from venues, most meals and Museum entry fees.

Weekend Itinerary:

Thursday, March 12
– Cocktail “Meet and Great” Reception at the Duncan McClellan Gallery

Friday, March 13
– Guided Tour of the Raymond James Collection
– Lunch at the Vinoy Hotel
– Tour of Private Collection
– Reception at the Chihuly Collection with a talk on Dale Chihuly’s connection with Venice and Murano
– Dessert and Glassblowing demonstration with guest artist Naoko Takenouchi; Hiroshi Yamano in attendance

Saturday, March 14
– Guided Tour of the “St. Petersburg Glass Trail”
– Opening Reception of Hiroshi Yamano and Naoko Takenouchi’s exhibit at the Duncan McClellan Gallery
– Glassblowing Demonstration by Hiroshi Yamano
– Private Dinner

Sunday, March 15
– Champagne Reception and continental breakfast at the Chihuly Collection. Guest artists in attendance
– Lecture at the Museum of Fine Arts by Hiroshi Yamano and Naoko Takenouchi
– Glassblowing Demonstration and farewells at the Morean Glass Studio & Hot Shop
