St Petersburg Sunshine Glass Week

Sunshine Glass Week is a week-long festival celebrating St. Petersburg’s vibrant glass community. This event will feature ongoing demonstrations, workshops, classes and studio tours at a variety of venues. The public is encouraged to try their hands at the age old trade, as well as see experts from around the globe in action. February 6-12th.

Zen Glass Gallery, 600 27th Street S., (www.zenglass.com) is hosting “Women Of Glass” a group show, at their gallery in the Warehouse Arts District from 5-10pm Saturday, February 11th. Workshops and classes available 6 days a week.

Duncan McClellan Gallery, 2342 Emerson Ave. S., (www.dmglass.com) is featuring Italian artists, the Salvadore & Ferro Brothers from Murano. This unique space is a beautiful glass gallery displaying some of the top names in the industry, his home, and a large state of the art glassblowing studio.

The Morean Arts Center Hotshop, 714 1st Ave N., (www.moreanartscenter.org/hot-shop) has live glassblowing demonstrations and a gallery of works from the in house artists and other local glass artists.

Chihuly Collection, 720 Central Ave.,(www.moreanartscenter.org/chihuly) is home to the world renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly’s installations of glass and gift shop.

Grand Central Stained Glass, 2401 Central Ave., (www.grandcentralstainedglass.com) St. Petersburg’s fused and stained glass headquarters offers workshops and supplies.
