Recipients of Glass Residency Scholarship premiere new work
Jake Pfeifer and Nicolas Emeric, two emerging hot glass artists living from New Jersey, are the recipients of the sought after DMG School Project’s 2015 spring Glass Residency Scholarship. On Saturday, June 13, from 5-9:30pm, they will premiere the new bodies of work created during their residencies.Both Pfeifer and Emeric will be giving glassblowing demos beginning at 6:15pm. Admission is Free.
Pfeifer and Emeric are young, aspiring American artists; among the next generation of craftsmen working with their hands, carrying forward glass making traditions that are thousands of years old. They use contemporary styles and traditional Italian and Swedish techniques that reflect a personal glass art style of their own expression and design.

Pfeifer is a 2010 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from RIT’s School of American Crafts – Glass Program. Emeric received his Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from Jacksonville University, where he created many public installation sculptures ranging from monuments and chandeliers to large scale steel, wood, and concrete sculptures.
