Christopher Figueroa is a heartfelt glass artist from Los Angeles California. After being introduced to glass blowing at a community college, he got his start in 2018 at a professional glass studio in Phoenix, Arizona under the management and mentorship of esteemed glass artist, Jason Chakravarty.

Christopher was encouraged to explore the glass world outside of Phoenix and took a class from Thermon Statom at Penland School of Craft in 2019. This class opened his eyes to the conceptual possibilities in glass art in addition to the techniques he had been developing.

In 2021, he was invited to assist Einar and Jamex De la Torre in their residency at Penland, whose bold and fearless work inspired him to find his voice and direction in glass art. Christopher recognized that the glass-blowing studio limited his access and capabilities to actualize his art, and in 2024 he learned and quickly implemented the cast glass technique into his work, from Jason Chakravarty.

Christopher aims to create narrative-driven work, using recognizable imagery, to illustrate his chaotic upbringing in Los Angeles in an approachable way.
