DMG School Project sponsored the Laundry Project Last Saturday July 26th at 1810 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd South.

During this project we did:  212 loads of laundry washed and dried clothes for 31 families, who also got to participate in sand blasting activities by creating their own glass etched plates. Kids and Adults alike tapped into their creative sides, designing their etched plates. Using a variety of designs, colors, and shapes to make their pieces of art stand out. What better way than to give back to the the community than by lending a helping hand where it’s most needed! Thousands of families worldwide don’t have the luxury of running water so we wanted to provide basic every-day living assistance that goes unnoticed. The basic quality of life should never be taken for granted!

We all had such a wonderful time and we look forward to teaming up with Current of Tampa Bay and their Laundry Love Projects again in the future.  We hope to one day create a nation wide message that “helping your neighbor” can go a long way! It’s not everyday that someone will ask you to wash their laundry. We also provided support to homeless individuals that needed clean clothes on their back, which in return aid in positive health benefits to the homeless. When planning your next memorable event, think of DM Gallery as the perfect venue. From the ambiance and décor to the inviting atmosphere, there are few unique spots to host your event – make it one to remember.
