St. Pete Hot Glass Workshop provides ongoing educational opportunities that allow artists to further their technique in all aspects of glass art in a state of the art, fully equipped hot glass studio. This provides artists a place to learn by attending master and intermediate classes and rent studio space to create their own work.
CREATING OPPORTUNITIES
Duncan McClellan’s newest addition for artists and visitors is the 2,400 square foot state-of-the-art St. Petersburg Hot Glass Workshop. This fully equipped facility provides a conducive environment for artistic expression, allowing artists to bring their unique creative visions to life.
When Duncan began studying art and developing his glass techniques there were very few places to work and study. Driven by his passion for the medium, Duncan wanted to offer a facility so that the creation of glass would be more accessible to artists and to the public. Today, The St. Petersburg Hot Glass Workshop provides an environment where artists can rent space and attend master and intermediate classes. Visitors can get a “behind the scenes” glimpse into blowing techniques by watching artists as they forge their masterpieces. It’s a visual feast for the eyes as glass is transformed from a molten substance into the beautiful displays featured throughout the gallery.
