Julie Johnson

Julie Johnson (b 1969 Scotland) started working with glass on the tiny island of Sark in the channel islands (UK), before going on to study glass as an artistic medium. 

She went on to work in several glass production studios in the Uk, France and the USA to gain technical ability before settling permanently in France. 

Julie set up her present  studio, “Verglass”,  in 2007 in Brittany, France in collaboration with Eric Lemarie. 

Since 2015 Johnson had been developing sculpting techniques to create her more personally expressive animal sculptures. 

Since this time, parallel with her production work and studio operations, she has participated in two major glass artist residencies, several glass exhibitions, and is now represented by Galleries in France, UK and the USA.
